First, the adventure is already 95% written. Usually, I start with an idea, outline, and little else.

Second, I normally do gonzo science-fantasy stuff. "The Outer Presence" is an investigative horror scenario taking place in the real world around the 1970's. Although, the time period can be changed will little to no conversion. Why the change?

Well, I grew up on D&D and discovered Call of Cthulhu in High School (encountering Lovecraft a few years before that). It's nice to have a change of pace.

Third, there's not going to be a softcover version, only PDF. That's because it's pretty short (but sweet... very, very sweet). It should come in at about 20 pages. JUST KIDDING!!! Actually, I much prefer print and a couple backers have let me know they'd really like soft cover print-on-demand books as opposed to digital. That means I'll have to increase the page count. Don't worry, I'm not going to pad the scenario with anything dumb.

Fourth, backer rewards won't include my previous works, such as Liberation of the Demon Slayer, The Islands of Purple-Haunted Putrescence, Revelry in Torth, How to Game Master like a Fucking Boss, and Crimson Dragon Slayer.

Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to package all those books up and send them out. My wife and I just had our third baby (she's just over 2 weeks old today). Until August, my primary job is staying home and helping her take care of our kids.

What's it about?

Ok, what's The Outer Presence about? An expedition to New Guinea. I took a little inspiration from Cannibal Holocaust, Lost, and H.P. Lovecraft. I've playtested it twice and have a couple guys looking it over and hopefully playtesting it themselves over the next few weeks.
